[I]n this podcast, I am in Johannesburg at Michael Selekane’s studio 202 located at the Asisebenze Art Studios (Asisebenze Art Atelier). This interview was conducted against the backdrop of the exhibition of his new body of work which was scheduled to open on 15 November at The White River Gallery, in Mpumalanga, due to changes in plans and logistics the exhibition was re-scheduled to mid-February 2025.
I approached this interview with an acute interest in locating Selekane at this point in his career as an artist well as to understand the themes he is presently dealing with.
For inquiries about this upcoming exhibition and related matters, the listener can reach the White River Gallery at 082 784 6695.

[Fact|:] In 2011, when Intraparadox as a concept was germinating, I interviewed Michael Selekane and later on broke my back transcribing the audio file. You see podcasting was not in vogue then. I refer to that interview in the opening remarks of the present podcast. Should listeners be curious about that interview they can access the transcript here:

[Trivial|:] The day I conducted that interview in 2011 I was turning 35.
