Bongi Bengu’s art practice which goes back to the late 1990s has, thematically and conceptually speaking, put women at its core. This edition of Intraparadox takes place in the context of her exhibition at the Alliance Française Pretoria entitled Umhlaba: The World. An attempt is made to trace her origin narrative and arrive at an understanding of her art practice.
