In this edition of Intraparadox I have a conversation with Sammy Muller, who recently curated the exhibition African Creation Stories which is currently on at The Viewing Room Art Gallery through 12 August 2023. Our conversation establishes who Sammy Muller is and goes on to cover processes that both the gallery and the artist have to consider in preparation for an art exhibition. We also reflect on the conceptualisation of the brief or invitation that was given to the artists featured in the exhibition African Creation Stories.

The Viewing Room Art Gallery Moment Part 1. is the first installation of a series of podcasts that I will be covering around this gallery in this new season of Intraparadox. Emerging from a hybrid of a boutique and an art gallery, The Viewing Room Art Gallery has solidified itself as a mainstay in the gallery circuit in Tshwane. Its historical moment must be framed.
