In 2015, Odirile Khune Motsiri was about to complete his studies in civil engineering with Tshwane University of Technology, when he was confronted by a fact that has been staring at him for the longest time he could remember. He wanted to pursue a career in the visual arts. He felt that it would be a personal achievement if he could graduate with a fine arts qualification. However, yielding to this desire would mean carrying his weight from there onwards. In the present interception Motsiri takes us through his journey to acquire formal credentials as a trained artist and to establish himself professionally as a practicing artist.
